Welcome to the University of Copenhagen Student Sports Association - KU Studenteridræt!

If you are an exchange student and you want to do sports while being part of a cool and fun community, you should join the UCPH student sports association. Our facilities are close to the Copenhagen campuses, which makes it easy for you to get from class to your sports activity.

The main part of our website is in Danish. When you navigate please make sure to translate (i.e. via browser app or similar) the full class and level description before registering for a class. It is your own responsibility to be fully informed regarding safety demands and physical requirements for participation on a team (when relevant).

To translate our Danish website, please use the Google Chrome Translate-plugin. And please send us an email if you have any questions: kontakt@kustudenteridraet.dk.

Affordable sports activities

At the UCPH Student Sports, it is our most important task to provide affordable sport activities for students. We want all students to be able to exercise and participate in social gatherings on a weekly basis, regardless of financial background. Most of the different disciplines do usually not exceed € 135 for the entire season. So, what are you waiting for? Sign up! Get a full list of our disciplines and prices on the homepage, where the different sport categories can be seen at the top of the page. Click on a category to find the subordinated disciplines and click on a discipline to find information on price, schedule, level, and more: www.kustudenteridraet.dk.

More than 65 different disciplines

At UCPH student sports association, we want to embrace all kinds of sport activities. You can sail kayak, swim in indoor pools or do outdoor winter swimming. You can kick a ball at futsal, smash a volleyball, ride a mountain bike and much more! We can almost guarantee that we have something for you – regardless of preference. Check out all the disciplines here.

Non-profit organization!

We are a non-profit organisation that work on creating the necessary conditions for students in Copenhagen to live a healthy life while studying. There is a need for combatting stress, anxiety and loneliness in today's academic world. We want to be a vigilant part in offering social sport activities in order to stamp out these damaging tendencies.

UCPH Student Sports - Membership Terms

Registration

UCPH Student Sports is an association. By signing up and paying the membership fee, membership of UCPH Student Sports is obtained. This means that you are then subject to UCPH Student Sports' statutes and guidelines, etc.

Membership fee

UCPH Student Sports is an association. The membership fee is payment for a membership, and not for a specific amount of training, and all amounts regarding teams are therefore VAT-free. As a general rule, there is no right of withdrawal on purchased services such as membership fees, team participation, etc. (see "Act on Certain Consumer Contracts § 18 (12)").

However, at UCPH Student Sports, you can both move and cancel teams. See below.

UCPH Student Sports does not refund the fee you may pay if you have forgotten to validate your UCPH email.

When you sign up for teams/trips/courses in UCPH Student Sports, there are the following amounts to pay:

1. Team fee

The team fee varies and is stated next to each team/trip/course you sign up for. The team fee covers the training period in the team.

2. No student fee

Non-student fee is paid in addition to the team fee by all non-student/PhD students for each team, trip/course you sign up for.

3. UCPH student fee

The UCPH student fee is paid in addition to the team fee by all members who are students, but who are not UCPH students.

Season

The exact dates and times for the teams' start and end are shown on the receipt and in your profile on www.kustudenteridraet.dk.

UCPH Student Sports has 2 training seasons a year – each with its own program.

1. Main season - September-April

Registration starts at the end of August and can then be done continuously throughout the season as long as there is available space on the teams. The program will be published on the website in August.

2. Summer season - April-August with varying training periods

Registration falls into two periods. In March for tennis, beach volleyball and outdoor exercise. In April, for outdoor activities starting in May. Registration can then be done continuously throughout the season if there is a vacancy on the team. The program will be published on the website during March and April.

Payment

On the website, you can pay with the most common credit card types.

We use Flatpay as payment providers for Dankort, Mobilepay and other credit card types. Read more on their website about the security of online payment.

You are not registered until payment has been completed, and you have received a receipt to the email address created on your profile in the association's membership system.

You can pay with Mobilepay, Dankort, VisaDankort, Visa and Mastercard.

Confirmation of registration

Members will receive an email with confirmation of registration and payment. Only upon receipt of this separate email confirmation is a team validly registered. The member profile on our website must always be kept up to date with the correct email address, phone number, address, etc. Any cancellations and other important information regarding the registered teams will be sent by e-mail and text message.

Waiting list

It is possible to sign up for a waiting list for one or more specific teams when the team is oversubscribed. A place on the waiting list is only valid for the current season.

The waiting list in the member system is handled fully automatically. This means that if a vacancy arises on a team with a waiting list, the place will be offered via email to no. 1 on the waiting list. After this, you have 48 hours to accept the offer of a place. If no. 1 on the waiting list does not accept the place within 48 hours, no. 2 on the waiting list will be offered the place for 48 hours, etc. If a waiting list for a specific team has been run twice without a member having purchased the place, then the team's waiting list will be deleted, and the vacant spot will be released.

Registration after the start of the season

It is possible to sign up for teams throughout the season, if there are available places. For teams that train the entire period from September to April, the team fee is reduced by 50% from January.

Team changes

We reserve the right to change or discontinue teams in connection with lack of registration. Likewise, we relate to the right throughout the season to make continuous professional adjustments to the teams' levels.

Responsibility and safety

You agree that participation in all teams in UCPH Student Sports is at your own risk, and that UCPH Student Sports is not liable for compensation in the event of injury during sports practice or when moving around UCPH Student Sports' areas.

You agree to comply with the coach's safety instructions, and you have a duty to inform the coach about personal circumstances that may affect the safety of the training.

By signing up for kayaking and SUP teams, you indicate that you can swim 600 meters without a break in the swimming pool.

You agree that you are acting at your own risk towards third parties.

You agree that you act at your own risk towards the premises and the equipment that you may cause damage to.

Right of withdrawal

In general, cf. Section 9(2) of the Consumer Contracts Act does not provide for any right of withdrawal when purchasing "recreational leisure activities" via the Internet.
