Crazy about water polo—or just curious about trying something new in the pool?

Then KU Student Sports Water Polo might be perfect for you!

We’re a mixed-gender, international team that welcomes both beginners and experienced players. Whether you’re here for fun, fitness, or competitive games, our club combines team spirit, tactical training, and intense workouts—all in a social and supportive environment.

🏊‍♀️ New to Water Polo?

No problem! If you enjoy team sports and want to challenge yourself in a new element, water polo is a fun and dynamic sport. It's similar to handball—but in water. You’ll need to be in decent shape, enjoy team play, and feel confident in the pool. We’ll help you build the rest! Training includes:

  • Warm-up and swimming drills
  • Ball-handling techniques
  • Game situations and tactics

As long as you can swim 25 meters in under 30 seconds and are comfortable in water, you're ready to jump in. We welcome new players all year round, and you’ll learn quickly by training alongside experienced teammates.

Our team is international and most training is in English. We value the social side just as much as the sporting one—it's what keeps motivation high and friendships strong.

🥇 Already Played Water Polo?

We’re a mix of experience levels, including players who’ve competed at higher levels. Join us if you're looking for:

  • High-intensity training
  • Fun and competitive matches
  • A great team culture

We're registered in the 3rd Division East (Autumn 2025). The focus is on game time, team development, and enjoying the sport—without losing the social part.

We also encourage players to take part in club activities and support each other outside of the pool. That’s what keeps the team strong.
